Ning.com network websites are blocked in China

While moderating PMN just now, I noticed that there was a big drop to the number of people online. Then I was told by a friend that she couldn't login to PMN or any Ning.com social network sites and she's been trying for hours. What a shame! Hopefully, they'll all come to their senses and leave Ning alone. Not happy about this at all! :-(

For now, please enjoy www.freeunblocker.net as a proxy site for PMN or any related blocked site in China. Glad we're out of there!

UPDATE: The Ning networks/sites are still blocked at this time and I highly recommend the link I provided above.
How it works? You go to www.freeunblocker.net and find that ONLY "web" image within the page and click it. An address bar will be shown and then type the URL of the site you want to unblock. In this case, type www.pinoymusicians.com on that magic address bar. See you at PMN!

Sarita sings... Bamboo (Hips Don't Lie) with Power J Band

It was fun jamming with the Power J Band at the Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur. As usual, they asked me to sing Shakira's Bamboo (Hips Don't Lie). LOL

U.R.B. Band's Marlou - A Mi Manera

Marlou sings this Spanish rendition of the classic song, My Way. Revived by Il Divo, "A Mi Manera".

Jalan-jalan, makan-makan

It was an enjoyable time for me today. Marl and I woke up before 3PM, moderated PMN a bit then caught the Monorail to Bukit Bintang to start our "jalan-jalan". Marl took some short clips of me as we strolled along Bukit Bintang. We went to Sungei Wang, Times Square, Lot10 and somewhere I've never been to - The Pavilion.

Had lots of fun especially when I saw the Mecca in my eyes - an Apple Center called Epi Center where I also found a Valentine's gift for Marl. Not a biggie thing, just a small thingy! I invented stinginess, remember? LOL

I also tried the J.Co Donuts & Coffee which I was told, a better donut shop than my fave Big Apple Donuts & Coffee. But the verdict from the horse's mouth: I'm now a CERTIFIED patron of the latter. Nothing would beat Big Apple when it comes to donuts in Malaysia.

Ending the day by watching a Filipino movie called "Italy" while finishing a Haagen Dazs mocha pint in bed. It has really been a wonderful day. Loved it!

Happy Hearts' Day!

Valentine's Day... As usual, we'd be performing. Haven't actually enjoyed a real Valentine's date on its day. We always perform for all the loving couples. But I'm happy, I got an ODM bangle-watch from my hubby eventhough I haven't gotten anything for him yet. Hey, women are supposed to be pampered today lah! LOL

My PINGBOX - A new feature on my sites!

I've just installed a new feature on my sites which is called PINGBOX. What's a PINGBOX? Hmmm... it's a ping box! LOL. Seriously, it means you can easily ping me whenever I'm online - privately. You can find my Pingboxes on my site's guestbook, blog and Friendster profile page. So from now on, find my Pingboxes coz I'm just a ping away! :-)

Happy Friday the 13th!

For me, everything about Friday the 13th is all so superstitious to me. It's all old school. Now, deaths are caused by crimes and not by a vampire, howling fox or any haunted or possessed characters, nor by a mysterious death. But I know that there's no harm in taking precautions.

For me, Friday the 13th is almost equivalent to September 11th - a day and date to be scared of. What's the difference anyway?

Skyping with the Princessette

It definitely completes my day seeing and hearing my mini-me. It's amazing how technology can really make the world smaller. Can't wait to see her again. She's expected to come for her school holiday. Love, love, loooove my Princessette...

A new addition to my addiction

One of the great things that I love about Malaysia is their variety of food, not only local type but also international types. I have always been addicted to Auntie Anne's Pretzels during our previous trips here and I even bragged about eating 3 almond pretzels in 1 sitting. So, on this trip, I was quite disappointed when I learned that some of the Auntie Anne's kiosk/shops that I used to frequent before (on the 3rd floor of KLCC & entrance of Low Yat Plaza) are now replaced by other shops.

So you can imagine the big disappointment when I saw a new donut shop in Low Yat Plaza where my old fave shop was situated before. I was thinking that nothing can ever replace my all-time-fave "Philippine-Taste" Dunkin Donuts - believe me, our Dunkin Donuts in the Philippines are much tastier than all the Dunkin Donuts I've tasted in Asia.

But, on second thought, this new shop - Big Apple Donuts & Coffee - kinda reminded me of the "Gonuts Donuts" craze that swept Manila few years ago. They have the "tasty" selection and a very tempting way to display the donuts. I, myself, was trying hard not to overly drool over them as I was choosing which flavor I should try. To my surprise, I almost screamed, "Oh my God!" after I had a bite. I immediately bought a whole box of 12 donuts - yes, just for myself! LOL

Check out the website of Big Apple Donuts.

Excuse me, I'm NOT pregnant!

The paranoia about the "pregnant issue" has started when the year 2009 began. Why? I don't have a freaking idea. It was only Marl and I who knew at first that I missed my period in December. Then when we went back to the Philippines, I just had a gush of blood coming out of me. My periods are sometimes irregular so that's considered normal.

But right after that, almost everyone I'd meet would ask me or even call me if I were pregnant. Then the paranoia started.

When I arrived in KL, my boss asked me whether I was pregnant. The staff at Shangri-La KL were asking me whether if I had a boob job or if I was pregnant. Couple of my friends phoned and asked me when am I planning to get pregnant. When I fell a little bit ill, some people joked about it that it was because of "morning sickness". And my little girl constantly asks me, "When am I gonna have a baby sister?".

After testing for 3 consecutive weeks - out of paranoia - I can now say that I'm NOT pregnant at all. Not that I don't or didn't want to get pregnant. But being in the beginning of the contract in a place I love so well, it would be an uwelcoming thought to even think about it.

But one thing is for sure. Like what happened when I conceived my little baby girl 10 years ago, when it's there, I'd be more than glad to accept it. Because it has its reason why it would grow inside your body. The whole being of that little man and what it will become, will all depend upon my hands. So, IF and WHEN I get pregnant, you will all know for sure because I will shout it to the world!

To those who have helped cause it and for letting me spend on different accurate home pregnancy tests, thank you! :-)

The paranoia ends right here and then.

Just another week

It was a rather productive week for me...

I was able to get some things done, reviewed most of my songs & rehearsed new ones. Though the business elsewhere is not so good these days, we were able to see our old friends and guests in the lobby. And I also made new ones.

One my mom's sister died last Thursday and although I wasn't able to pay my last respects, I was able to donate something that helped them with the funeral service fees.

One of our friends, with whom I have a 4 year old goddaughter named Britney, came to see us last weekend while transiting to Amsterdam. Marl & I were able to spend an afternoon of fun with Robert & Brit at the Cosmos World in Berjaya Times Square - where we ONLY rode Buddy Go 'Round (Carousel type). Three times! LOL

We didn't have a night off since we had to play at an Indian wedding of our hotel's F&B secretary. It was a beautiful wedding but we didn't enjoy the program (our "sets") esp. our on&off-stage moments.

Well, another week is over...

Fixing the lighting for the stage

Just trying to fix the lighting on the stage after 2 weeks of being here. :-) And some random vid-a-blurtz.
