Happy Halloween!

We're going to have a Halloween party tonight at Qbar. Since we've been playing in lobby lounges as 3 piece band since 2000, we never get to celebrate Halloween parties like before. The last Halloween party I've actually celebrated, wherein I dressed a zombie in camouflage pants (Huh? Yeah, I know! LOL) was in Hong Kong in 1998. That's why I'm very excited for tonight's party. We're gonna be dancing with Qbar staff (see blog post prior to this). I'm gonna do my Michael Jackson impersonation for the 2nd time, too(I did my 1st ever MJ impersonation in Jan 2008 - you can view it here).

If you still haven't checked the music page on my site, I've put the song, Phantom of the Opera (Remix), as the 1st track. I just find it right in time for today's celebration! LOL. Check it out here!

OMG! I'm all over Flixwagon!

Flixwagon has a new cool home page that features not only the recent videos being flixed but also shows the featured and some random videos in sliding style. I like it since it looks more informative than before.

My 2 videos are still in Top 5 Most Viewed - for whatever reason! Haha! I mean, it's sitting there and still getting hundreds of views everyday!

One of the videos was my first attempt to flix entitled "I'm An Appleite" - sitting on No.5, which was nothing more than seeing my handwriting and me smiling at the end. That's it. People ask me what is an Appleite. I've been a member of Applei.ph since July, a premier source of anything about iPhones, and I'm a very active member there. They even formed a fans club for me there - hihihi!

The other one is entitled "Take A Bow" - now sitting on No.3, which had me singing Rihanna's song. I don't even think I sang properly because it was like 3AM at that time! LOL.

But I got a huge surprise today!!! And it's like 2AM in the morning and I have no one to tell it to, except for my husband who said nothing when I excitedly told him about this...

Take A Bow is also one of the TOP 5 FEATURED VIDEOS! Woahhhh! This is like... wha??!? huh?!?! wha??!?! If you go to What's Hot, you'll see 2 faces of moi - plus the Appleite flix.

And that's not all - I'm one of the Top Broadcasters on Flixwagon. You will see it on the homepage, lower right. And I can see my recent video "Funny Sars" being down on a slide under Featured on the homepage (but I still can't see it on the Featured page yet).

So I'm most viewed, I'm featured and I'm one of the top broadcasters from all over the world - ALL ON FLIXWAGON! Wooohooo! This is really exciting!!!

My Li'l Singing Princessette

Yes, she is now a singer. Well, let me rephrase that. she's always been a singer. But it was just yesterday, October 17, that she managed to enter as one of the Top 3 contestants in lower elementary level (Grades 1-3) to compete for the Grand Finals in her school on November 8, 2008. I feel so proud because she's really talented for a 9-year-old. She has recorded some tracks in the past and her recent recording, "When There Was Me & You" from High School Musical (which you can hear from my music gallery in my website), really shows the natural talent that she has. She can, of course, hit high notes easily, but her voice quality is something that amazes my friends. And with the guidance of my mom, who trained me during my younger days as well, she's now one of the finalists for the said Grand Finals. That's my girl!

Failed to broadcast longer - but still, it did!

I tried to leave my iPhone on top of the bar where the bottles expensive drinks are quietly sitting, while it broadcasted live for the first 8-10 minutes of each set. I thought the Flixwagon app crashed on me during the 1st set, but when I recorded the 3rd and 4th set, they were all of the same recorded length. So what gives?

When I went back home, I tried recording again and having it on standby for 40 minutes. And yes, it did upload the whole 40 minutes up to my Flixwagon. (Sorry, I only made it for private viewing because it was just me eating, staring on my computer screen, and yawning without covering my mouth! LOL). So the problem was not on my iPhone or Flixwagon.

The culprit was the WiFi connnection of the hotel! Maybe, if it goes idle for more than 8 mins, it would disconnect the computer/device from the network. Oh no, my goal to broadcast our gig live has somehow failed. But I'm not gonna give up. Tonight, I'll leave it recording somewhere different from its spot last night and maybe it's just that particular spot. At least, now I know.

For your viewing pleasure and if you're curious about the videos, here are the Flixes:
(forgive me for the 1st few minutes of each Flix as I was trying to secure my iPhone in place so it won't fall off)

1st Set

3rd Set

4th Set

1st attempt to broadcast live from gig - TONIGHT

I will be trying to broadcast live from our gig tonight. Yes, tonight! You can go to my Flixwagon channel, and check out the LIVE button on the upper menu or a LIVE button on any of the videos. I haven't tried broadcasting live for more than 10 minutes, so I don't know how this works, if it can hold 45 minutes (each set). Be patient as it's uploading from my iPhone.

Schedules that I MIGHT be broadcasting live (+8 GMT Manila Time):
8:30 PM - 9:15 PM - 1st set
9:30 PM - 10:15 PM - 2nd set
10:45 PM - 11:30 PM - 3rd set
12:00 AM - 12:45 AM - 4th set

If you don't see a LIVE button, most probably I'd be having problem broadcasting live, LOL.

But keep on checking, DURING those schedules, you can keep coming back to my Flixwagon channel. You can also use the chat feature there, but chances would be, I will be able to see them only after recording it. But would love to read them. :-)

My Youtube Medals and That Hacker

MY YOUTUBE MEDALS:
I was so thrilled when I saw a small medal on both of my Youtube accounts:
#87 - Most Viewed (Today) - Musicians (saritac)
#76 - Most Subscribed (This Week) - Musicians (saritaflix)

And these are new addition to my Most Viewed Videos on Flixwagon which by the way reached more than 25.000 views as of today! Woah!!!

Thank you all for your support! Salamat po!

TO THE ONE WHO WANTED TO HACK MY YOUTUBE ACCOUNT:
I got an email from Youtube this morning at 8AM, that somebody requested for my Youtube account's password. I sure did not do it coz I slept at 5AM. Who did? What a pathetic loser! What do you want from my videos? Or are you just jealous that I got awards for both of my Youtube accounts? Hah! Eat dirt!

Sars Papaya Dance

Okay, so I was chatting on PMN and Applei.ph at the same time. And then SithStrife of Applei.ph suggested me to do the famous Papaya Dance on my Flixwagon channel. So I invited everyone on the PMN chatroom to standby for my live broadcast. Well, since you weren't able to experience the live broadcast, here's for you to satisfy your curiosity. It's just one of them mornings... and yes, I was already in my sleeping attire then. LOL. Enjoy!

I've got a Mighty Mouse, and it's wireless!

Let my video do the talking now so I won't have to repeat typing what I just said there. LOL

Youtube Dilemma

I'm facing a dilemma that I haven't faced before. The Youtube Dilemma. I have had my channel in Youtube for 2 years now, saritac, and have uploaded some of the fun videos that I'd like to share with you all. Recently, I found a way to do live broadcasts via iPhone via Flixwagon. It has a feature that uploads my Flix videos to my Youtube channel. So a few days ago, I created a different Youtube account, saritaflix, solely for my Flix videos. And I started inviting friends to it and getting subscribers now. Until it hit me - BANG! Why can't I just maintain my main, saritac, and just create playlists so people won't be bored with browsing pages of videos from me and trying to find a performance, a family vid, or my infamous maze pranks to my friends.

Soooooo now, I'm facing a dilemma... to keep saritaflix (youtube) or not? It's hard to maintain accounts. I tend to forget my userID and password easily. So should I keep saritaflix (youtube) or not? Hmmm?

Recording for Sony Ericsson

I was at the recording studio today, recording a demo song for Sony Ericsson. I was asked by a talented Chinese singer/songwriter, Bones, to sing a song for the demo CD to be submitted. I was supposed to sing the main song which was more light & easy like the song, "New Soul". But he didn't like the feel of it for me. He said my voice was a bit strong for that kind of music. So instead, I sang a more upbeat song what he composed which was very "me". A dance music and I sang it just the way I like it. Don't worry, I'll post the finish product on my music page here on my site, so watch out for that. Anyway, the video below was taken during my break, broadcasted from my iPhone.

My birthday hoopla

If you haven't heard the news yet, I turned freakin' 30 last Monday! LOL

Anyway, it all started on Sunday morning (after Saturday gig) when my friend Cheche and Jboy took the initiative to buy an extra-large pizza and had 4 candles for me. There were also few finger foods that Cheche proudly made. The celebration was also for my friend Ann who had her last working night on Saturday. The mini gathering lasted until around 4AM.

The next day, on Sunday, nothing much happened until when we were at the gig. Because public holiweek (it's not only a day, so can't say holi-day LOL) was already coming, Sunday looked like a real weekend as everyone was in a weekend mood to party. Especially me! At midnight, as I had already expected it, they sang a birthday song for me and Shangri-La management even gave me a very nice chocolate cake! Yummy!

On Monday, on my birthday itself, Marl and I went to Badaguan with our Chinese professional photographer as I did my birthday photoshoot. I had fun and was so excited with the shots. You can the one taken from Marl's Canon G9 here and I'm going to upload the shots of my photog-friend soon. (FYI, I can't believe I'd look that beautiful in them!)

On Monday night, my friends and I hit the Qingdao Beer Festival. We had lamb chops on stick and drinks first. My friends from Eurostar Carnival gave me a 4 Ride-All-You-Can tickets for me and my friends. At first, no one wanted to go with me because I'm the only thrill rider. All of them were the Carousel and Bump Car riders. But I managed to convince them to go on a ride called Tagada. Boy, that was fun! Will post the videos soon.

I really enjoyed my birthday this year, as usual. I thought it would be less exciting since I'm approaching the mid-lifestyle. But hey, life begins at 40 so I still have 10 more years till I get to experience the grand life of mankind!

Thanks again for all the greetings!
