It comes in three

I do believe that if something happens to you once, it comes in three. Blessings, love, success - they all come in a bulk of three before something adverse happens. You don't believe me? Haven't you read the Saritalogy books I release like, for a millenium now? Geez, how could have you missed that? It's the best seller of all time! LOL.

The reason why I said that nonsense stuff is because on our 3rd month in Qingdao, we have moved to another flat for the 3rd time. We are even staying on 3rd floor! Yeah really! You don't believe me? Go ask your pharmacist.

LOL

Yeah really, we have moved again. Should I cheer about it? Of course, it's the 3rd move and everything comes in three!

What's taking me so long?

It's been couple of months now since I started working on my new site. And it's been so long! I guess because we've just been adjusting ourselves here. Maybe because we never really have settled ourselves in. We moved to another flat when we were all settled in. And now, we keep 2 flats because they said we are not staying in the new flat for good. Our internet line is in the old flat so we shuffle from one flat to another.

My new site was 95% done but needed to make some changes after test-uploading it online. So now it's back to 80% completion. :-)

Don't worry, it'll be up soon!

Endless foggy days

It has become "foggier" day by day in Qingdao. Instead of enjoying the warm sun outdoor, we're all tied up at home. Not that there are lots of things to do outdoor, though. I'd like to try something different. Still thinking.

The new site is almost done guys!!!

Dancing Queen at Q Bar

It was the Dancing Queen Night at Q Bar. It was successful as it was well-attended. Jan and I had crowns on our head, while the staff had some cute tiny crowns on them. We definitely had a party crowd and it was real fun. We had lucky draw, of course it was facilitated by yours truly. I also helped crown the Dancing Queen of the night, the beautiful and classy Leona. Will post the pix soon.

Sorry for the long silence and past non-sense posts. Shuffling from one house to another is not easy. Sometimes I'd rather spend my time in my room, just reading some books and finishing my site. It's 95% done.

Jamming at the New York Club in Qingdao

This was shared by Apple during her trip here in Qingdao. I jammed with the band at the New York Club... and guess which song??!? LOL

Postponed site launching

I'm waaay behind my site reconstruction. Moving to a house where there's no internet connection doesn't really help at all. I'm on the process of correcting links & integrating my other sites into it, et.al PBase, Picturetrail, Blogger. But don't worry, it's 70% done. :-)

A tear...

This was shown to me by my good friend Moises... which gave not just a tear in my eyes... Enjoy!

Selena's back to school

My daughter Selena is going back to school today. She will be on her second grade. I'm on the phone with her right now as she finishes her breakfast. She's very excited. Me too. But I miss her. A lot. :-(

Still not well

After a week now, my flu has not gone off yet. It's worse with the weather becoming unstable that beats a fickle-minded woman who's hitting the forbidden word after reaching the age of 40. I have spent the whole week trying to put my website together. It's kinda hard to do wed designing when your computer is not connected to the internet at all times.

It's my off again and I will try upgrade my RAM to 1GB later. Eventhough I currently have 512MB, with a 1.8" hard drive that has 4200 RPM, my laptop still cannot stand the requirements that my softwares demand. So I will try to upgrade and see if it will run smoothly.

Can't wait to upload my new website!!!

Complement

One of the VVIPs of the hotel sent a note to my hubby after I did the song Hips Don't Lie on top of the dancing table. It read:

"Only 2 people can get me off my seat:
1) your wife to this song
2) Alan Shearer scoring a goal for Newcastle

Enough said. :-)

Red red wine

Red wine is one of my favorite drinks, champagne being the top on the list. A glass or two is okay. But if it goes more than that then the taste is becoming unacceptable to my taste buds. We're still at Q Bar now, still have another bottle of red wine to finish.

Trimmed and light

My locks have always been thick. Eventhouh I was blessed with a healthy jet-black hair, I have always wanted a lighter shade. And my profession has allowed me to do that. Played with my hair from bob cut to rebonding it to having it long enough to reach my waist.

I had my hair trimmed today in a salon behind Crowne Plaza. For a shampoo, trim and blow-dry, I paid Rmb40 (US$5). Not bad. But my thick and heavy tresses felt like a kilo lighter after being trimmed. In fact , when I looked down from my chair, I saw a bunch of hair on the floor which seemed a lot more than what's left on my head. Although there's not much change on its look, it definitely feels lighter. It does feel different banging it around.

It's Thursday, we had a great night. Kinda relaxed. Just what we really need this week.

Crazy Wednesday

What a crazy night it was! I've never seen Q Bar this full. Standing room only - PACKED! Aside from the usual Wednesday crowd we have managed to attract through the past months, Power Warehouse Coopers - with around 120 pax - had their party function at Q Bar at the Shangri-La Qingdao. It was freakin' hot. But it was fun. Full of dancin', groovin', and movin'. Definitely one of the best party nights at Q Bar.

More sets this week

We usually play 4 sets every night. In Shangri-La Hotels in KL, Xian, Shanghai, or Mactan. Except here in Qingdao. But we play an extra set on Fridays and Saturdays which makes it 5 sets on those nights.

This week is more stressful for us. We have to play an extra set this Wednesday and another set on Saturday. Which means we will have to play 6 sets on Saturday!

What to do?!?

Chilled out

Yesterday on our off, Marl and I took our books & went to the seaside to relax. But we ended up taking photos of each other. Well, just chilled out. And I got chilled out literally. When we went back to our apartment, I started sneezing until today. Went to the hotel doctor who gave me some medications. Wish me well...
:-(

Responsibility

With the school opening back in the Philippines this week, my mom has asked to be financially ready. Aside from Selena who will start her 2nd grade in primary school next week, I'm also supporting my 2 brothers to go to shool. Andrew, 18, will take up Electronic and Communication Engineer at the Lyceum of the Philippines. Christopher or Shoti as we fondly call him, 17, will be on his senior year in high school. Since the death of my stepdad last Det's my sole responsibility as my mom only earns a little in her clothes shop. Hopefully, I can setup a business with a bigger revenue soon. Still looking out for opportunities.

Working on a new site

I haven't officially launched my new SARITAONLINE.COM with a new look, but it's working well for my old site. I've already got the layout design done. I am still working on the stuff that I have to put there, you know, images, logo and some interesting stuff. I want to make it more professional looking yet still as informative - or maybe more - like my site right now. So watch out for that!

Cold and wet

It's already June and  it's supposed to be warmer in Qingdao by now. But it's been raining almost every day, especially last Monday when it rained some ice particles which I'd like to classify as tiny hails, They were not snow flakes - they're bigger and more solid than that. And I guess a lot of people didn't realize that because it seemed like it's only Marlou and me who had experienced it. It's like the heavens do some random search and said, "Hmmm... what do we have here in Qingdao? Oh, those two looks really busy on the computers, let's catch their attention!", then started throwing those tiny hails on us.

It has become colder since then. Not only that, the fog even at noontime is very bad. Damn, I can't wait for it to be summer. I miss my tan!

Every Thursday at work is a different experience for us. There was a Thursday when there were drunks as early as our first set. There was a Thursday when the bar was filled with American guys who preferred to listen to Elvis Presley songs. There was a Thursday when nobody would listen. And there's a Thursday like tonight, when we made people danced all night effortlessly. I mean, they were dancing to any tune that we played. But still, my favorite day is Wednesday. I'm a lady and Wednesday is always an excuse for girls like me to have fun! LOL.
